It's time for a whole week of everyone's favourite horror genre - Giallo! This is your favourite genre too right? Right?? In Italy the term Giallo in the context of film refers to any kind of murder mystery or horror thriller regardless of it's national origin. However, in an international context the term is mainly used for Italian films of this kind (although not exclusively!). For this week we are going all the way back to the 1960's to look at a stunning 4k re-issue of iconic Giallo director Mario Bavas Blood and Black Lace, as well as taking a closer look at one of Dario Argento's more underrated films; Phenomena. Additionally, we will explore how the genre has spread globally with a hidden gem from late 80's Japan with Door. So sit back, relax and get ready for a Giallo Good Time this week!
